My son found this Bivalve From Saltwick bay North Yorkshire Coast and after playing around with the macro on my camera here are my final results.

We believe it to be Dacryomya ovum would anyone else think so.

Looking at the angle of the ribs they are ' Dacylioceras athleticum's '.... Looks like a close accumulation of shells on the seabed that have been encased in a single nodule... if it isnt to sticky prepwise that could make a very nice display piece if theres 6 in there....In my experience the outer surface ones in cases like this are sometimes just preserved body chambers for some reason... Very nice find, well done....

I'd like to see that one after a good prepper (Steve?) has gotten thru with it - please show us if and when you get it done!
