Beautiful specimen. I came across these interesting pictures recently.

These pics are very interesting ! I didn't know that fulgurites are hollow. I imagine that is because lightning strike circulated in the middle of the tube, and melted the quartz all around.

Painshill, your two pics are marvelous. I never had seen that, and never imagined that the lighting strike could give such results on sand or on ground.
