cck
A decent weather forecast drew us out of the lair to the Potomac, but alas it was too good to be true. 50 and foggy all day instead of the 70's and sun that was forecast. Westmoreland gave up nothing but hemi's today, but I'm not complaining. Also some other species from the small beach at Stratford Hall. Anyone recognize the little spikey one? thanks, Chris
jpc
bummer.. a day full of hemis. What's the roundish thing above the dime?
cowsharks
....Anyone recognize the little spikey one? thanks, Chris Chris, if you're referring to the shark tooth in the bottom row, far right, it looks like a small Alopias (Thresher shark) tooth. I too was disappointed by the foggy day; I had planned on washing my cars, but instead, gave me more reason to watch football after my fossil club meeting today. Daryl. cck
Here are some more views, and some of what I'm assuming is a whale bone chunk, though it has some interesting characteristics. Thanks for looking

NetDoc
Were you just wading in the river or on Scuba? Did you sift or just look for the teeth? I see the ray plates, did you get any barbs?
