Sunday's fun: A day in the pawpaw formation of North Texas.

Three photos:

1, Cretolamna appendiculata shark tooth surrounded by ammonites.

2. Handful of pawpaw formation fossils

3. Closeup of Linuparis sp. lobster carapace, and Leptostyrax macrorhiza shark tooth.

I will add pictures of the cleaned fossils later!

Wow, Boneman, :o:drool::DB)

Awesome finds. I love the tiny ammonites and the shark teeth, but the Lobster is wicked cool!

Thanks for posting these - such a nice assortment you can find.

I like the pawpaw because after a full day of hunting my finds still fit into a pill bottle!!

Not to mention, anytime I can pull a Leptostyrax out, it's a good day!

Dude, I was going to say...you finding a Leptostyrax...doesn't happen every day. It's like me finding a Cretodus. No, wait, nothing is that rare. Nice finds, bud!

Wow! I think it's time I crawl up out of the Duck Creek for a change and visit some Pawpaw. Those look great!

Looks like a fun crawl when the mud is dry!

Dan showed me the pics on his phone that day!! Wowzers!! Sweet finds!

Believe it or not, I found this stuff AFTER Dan and I had hit the site before!

Its hard to believe that this site keeps producing. It's only 100 yards X 30yards of exposure...

Great haul there, congrats!
