Dear friends,

I was in 1996 in Crimea and I have been also in quarry in Kerch where big iron-ore deposits are.

They are age from Cimmerian (i. e. middle Pliocene sediments in an ancient sea). I have found there two pieces of fossil vertebrae. Please
look at photos. They are a litle big different in size and shape, one piece is 18 cm long, second piece is 16 cm long.

I need to help - are they from whale or sperm whale? Can you help me?

Thank you very much.
