sybaris Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 (edited) I like to scour old geologist reports and try to find the sites they mention. A lot of them contain plat coordinates so I was wondering if anyone uses some kind of GPS unit that has a plat overlay. I'm not as gadget savvy as I used to be but figured there must be something similar available. thanks Edited April 13, 2013 by sybaris

sybaris Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 Found this which will do nicely: http://maps.indiana.edu/ You can add layers and plot out where potential new and old sites may be
davehunt Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Earth Point Townships has a Google Earth layer that is pretty useful. They seem to offer an advanced version with a subscription ($50) but it seems pretty decent without the subscription. Dave
