andreas
Last weekend I started my collecting season 2013 after this long winter. I was fortunate and found some Lower Carnian ammonoids. Hunting again is a very good feeling.
Batty
Wow, off to a flying start. Well done. What the heck is the big one in the middle? Are they teeth in there? Glad it's extinct lol. Edited May 1, 2013 by Batty

andreas
Wow, off to a flying start. Well done. What the heck is the big one in the middle? Are they teeth in there? Glad it's extinct lol. Thank you Batty and "Hi" from Austria to Australia, from up above to down under I am not sure what part on the bigger limestone slab you mean exactly. The ripped piece is a part of a triassic ammonoid called Trachyceras. The conus shape thing is a orthocone nautiloid. No teeth are in there; execpt very, very small fish teeth and conodonts. For further information of this limestone you can look at this http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/blog/104/entry-133-the-zones-of-austrotrachyceras-austriacum-and-trachyceras-aonoides/ @Tim I am also glad that season starts. But there is still much snow at higher locations. Regards Andreas
