I'm going to lobby for the bird humerus - it is only the second known bird bone from the Mesozoic of Australia!

The plural of "anecdote" is not "evidence".

Also, it is worth pointing out that, in addition to being a rare and wonderful fossil, Mike from North Queensland exemplifies all that is best about amateur collectors in his willingness to share this find with a professional paleontologist so that it can be a true contribution to science.

Vote early and vote often for this Fossil of the Month!

And this is not meant to take anything away from the other fossils and finders. All the candidates are spectacular this month.
