Hi Napolean North, that sure is a couple of really tiny little guys! At this point I'm not seeing anything that makes me say plant or seed for sure.

Looks like its a very fine grained rock and you've got some fragments of something that have left a rusty looking/iron type of staining--possibly from something organic. I'm not sure though, given the small size and the clarity of the pictures.

You mentioned Cretaceous in age...Is there any chance that you have collected other plant material from this location or know of others who have? Any other local knowledge about this site that you can share with us that would suggest plant? Any published material about fossils from these site/formations? Sometimes I've found bits and pieces of things, but it wasnt until I found a much larger piece with more detail or read about something/saw pictures of similar fossils from a particular site/formation that I realized that the tiny fragments could be of a given type of fossil. Sometimes the stuff is just too fragmentary or too small with no clear identifiable keys to tell anything.

Maybe others will have some other thoughts on your finds........thanks for your post--wish I could offer something more!

Regards, Chris
