AndrewG
Hey Guys and Galls, I had a super day (for me at least haha)! I found my biggest tooth I've ever found and to be completely honest am not sure what shark it came from. The big one in the pictures is the one I am talking about. It also has indentions on both sides of the main body of the tooth, can anyone explain that? This was the first time I went to a creek to find shark teeth and boy it was fun! I worked up a serious sweat but filled up my jar with the biggest and best teeth I have ever found. I also found two shark vertebrae and a couple sting ray tooth plates. The pics show an overview, sever close ups on the big one, and pics of the best ones. Thanks for checking them out! Andrew
Fossildude19
Great finds, and nice report! That large one looks pathological, I think? Either that, or some type of symphyseal tooth?Have no clue, though, as shark teeth are not my forte`. Hopefully the experts will be along shortly. Thanks for posting, and congratulations.Regards, Edited June 24, 2013 by Fossildude19 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." cowsharks
Awesome stuff there. Congrats. That "triple-tipped" tooth is one of the coolest pathological teeth I've ever seen. It almost looks like a tooth that tried to sprout two more from within it.
