Sea Urchin From The Baltic Sea

Hi,

I’ve got a sea urchin here (hight 37 mm, largest width 49 mm = 1.46 and 1.93 inch, respectively). Definitely Baltic See, quite likely western region / Germany. Might be genus Echinocorys, I suppose. Is that possible? I don’t know the difference between E. obliqua and E. scutata. Can someone help? Kind regards: wolf

Hi Wolf
I am not an expert in echinoids, but I am pretty sure that it is a Echinocorys sp. Maybe this dutch article can help you. look at page 109 and 110 (fig J-21b, J-21c and J-22)
