eddie
Hey Everyone, Been a while since I've done any fossil/shark tooth hunting, so I'm a bit out of touch. Seems like most of the locations I've hunted before are closed to collecting now. And Greensmill Run will likely be difficult with the tremendous amount of rain we are getting. Anyway, I was toying with the idea of taking Friday off to do some collecting. Any suggestions on where to go? Does the Castle Hayne quarry still open up to collectors Friday afternoons? Thanks!Eddie

cowsharks
I'd crawl around the parking lot/field out in Aurora...I did pretty well out there with the little teeth. I'd check the spoil piles after the rains to surface collect.
eddie
Thanks for the replies. Just to clarify, I was wondering if there were any large reject piles in the Aurora area, aside from what is at the museum and the parking lot. There used to be large reject piles in various places (Cox's X-rds, some State highway yards, etc.,) but the ones I knew about are gone since the reject material is, for the most part, now being used internally by the mine.
