CH4ShotCaller
Got up at 3:45 AM yesterday with NCkid55 to hit the beach at Ocean Shores WA. Hadn't been there in a few years and after a 2 hour drive, 3 cups of coffee... we hit the beach with visions of finding the missing link. After 7 miles and shoes full of sand, I thought we had found our first fossil near a huge log. Instantly discovered someone had used that spot as a latrine and certainly no fossil. But, here's a video of the beach, this is near the US Catala as Connie mentioned in another thread. Hieronymus
Coming home with nothing happens far too often, but hey that's part of the game. Once in a while you might find a good spot to hunt in the future, mostly you don't. Anyway, a day outside is usually a good day. I cherish those days anyway, even if I come home with nothing. http://rhaetianlorraine.webs.com/
CH4ShotCaller
Yep, it wasn't a total bust. nckidd55 found a nice piece of carnelian agate, plus the 7 mile hike was good for the heart and good for the soul.
