Fossil Foilist
The other day I went to the big hole. A cretaceous pit i have been hunting recently. Here are a few of my finds. The echinoids are Phymotaxis Tournoueri and the teeth are a mixture of Scapanorhynchus, Squalicorax and Cretalamna. Enjoy, Skylar Fossil Foilist -----)----------------------

sixgill pete
Skylar, great to see you were able to get back into the big hole. I thought it was gone for good. The echnoids you find in there are amazing, but those teeth are very very nice. Thanks for posting them for us. cowsharks
Skylar, I love the echinoid, even though I'm a "shark-tooth" guy. The reason being is that this particular specimen is what I call a "teachable-specimen" because it still has some spines attached. I can't tell you how many times I found pieces of those spines, but never knew what they were. For years I wondered and kept a few pieces of them figuring I would find out some day. I eventually did, but this specimen is really nice. As for the shark teeth, those are great. I would be bringing home lots of sediment or screening with window screen to bring home the micro stuff. Great stuff! Daryl.
