Krazy Rick
OK, I'll get out the good camera then... Edit: Bevan suggested exactly what you did about getting it professionally done by gluing back the pieces and going top - down. Who would you trust to do this? What type of glue would be used for this ? .... is it applied to the specimen & matrix ?
Krazy Rick
Before my last question gets an answer ..... I have another ( sorry ... curious rookie !! ) ..... are all split rock supposed to be glued back together prior to prep ? .... I'm confused, because in videos & info; I haven't seen this ? Scylla
Most split rock is left as split, but rare or 3-d (inflated) or spikey fossils (like trilobites with spines or crabs) are sometimes glued back. As far as what glue to use, I will leave that to the experts.
