At the end of my trip I am really got tired and evil. I found nothing.... almost. A couple of things I would passed by in Donetsk... Plantguy
Hi Roman, I've think we've all had those types of days once in awhile so you just grumble a bit and take in the beauty of the surroundings whatever that happens to be! Then you find some good food/drink with friends and family and then plan your next fossil outing! Regards, Chris

Fossildude19
Sorry you weren't able to find more, Roman. Hope you have better luck next time. Sometimes, when you find amazing things all the time, it becomes commonplace, and we need days like these to remind us of how special and rare our finds really are. Yes, this morning I understand all things you said but evening yesterday... A couple of petwood pieces I found yesterday in ravine in Kamenka. I think that white one is not a Jurassic (Bathonian) but Paleogen one. Shamalama
Hmmm.... well... You found... something, congrats? Sorry for the lack of finds but the beauty of the countryside sure is nice! -Dave __________________________________________________ Geologists on the whole are inconsistent drivers. Ridgehiker
Thanks for the photos. I agree with Fossildude above...also like the quote he has by Muir. "In every walk in nature one receives far more than he seeks" My collecting trips are about Nature...I like to study the insects, plants, etc. They are like fossils, the more we learn, the more fascinating they become. Finding a fossil is just a bonus. You mention two different age rocks in the last photo....are these moved by rivers or glaciation in the past? Sometimes here we find a piece of petrified wood that is completely out of place.

Somebody from Germany (a petwood expert) confirmed I found the Jurassic wood, so there is no different ages in my finds. Regards, Roman Piece of flint, quite common mineral here.
