Fossil Hunting Sites In Hertford, Nc

I am new to fossil hunting, and am quite interested in sharks teeth, though I love any sort of fossil! I stumbled onto a link posted by someone on this forum giving the locations of fossil sites in NC (http://fossilsites.com/STATES/NC.HTM)

I live in Elizabeth City, NC and there are several sites posted for Hertford County NC in Murfreesboro. Though it does not indicate an exact location, it says between 2-5 km up or downstream. I believe it is referring to the Meherrin River, which is noted for producing red sharks teeth.

I recently moved to Elizabeth City, which is an hour from Hertford, and do not know anything about the river or fossil sites. Does anyone live nearby and know of these collecting sites?? If so, would anyone be interested in taking a fossil hunting trip with me? I would like to learn as much as I can about collecting fossils!!!!!!
