rplopes
Hi people I'm currently working on fossil deposits in the coastal area of southern Brazil, and among sediments dredged from the bottom of a lake I've found the two teeth of the photo. The estimated age of the specimens is latest Pleistocene-early Holocene, but I could not show them to a shark expert yet, so I'd appreciate if someone could help with the identification. Thanks! Al Dente
They look very much like bull shark - Carcharhinus leucas. Shark tooth A would be from the lower jaw and B from the upper jaw.
