Can you post a picture of the other side. Also, where it was found and any geological information such as the formation it was found in.

I'm thinking it might be rhino - I'll look a bit more when I have access to my library. The marked fossa posterior to the opening for the mental nerve on the medial surface seems right for rhino.

Doen't appear to be ground sloth, mastodon or mammoth which doesn't leave a lot of other possiblities Maybe wooly rhino.

I'm going to endorse the rhino. It matches pretty closely the illustrations of the woolly rhino available to me.

Today I was on the gravel, and only part of the mammoth hits as may be worthy of you in the country such a piece of jaw rhinoceros?
