New Members Hoosier Posted October 12, 2013 New Members Share Posted October 12, 2013 My two sons found these rocks in a creek bed here in Indiana. Does anyone have any idea what they could be? They think they're dinosaur eggs (smiling). Perhaps just rocks inside of rocks? Regardless, we had a fun family outing looking through the creek bed! The white egg-shaped one is 5" long x 3" at widest point. The other darker one is 2-1/2 x 2". I hope the pics are clear enough. I only have a phone camera. Thanks in advance! Plax
second pic could represent a cross section through a straight cephalopod, it would've been a monster, first pic looks like a concretionary rock with soft sediment inside sometimes called an indian paint pot
New Members Hoosier Posted October 14, 2013 Author New Members Share Posted October 14, 2013 That is very interesting! The one you say could be a cephalopod has two smaller ones on the opposite side.
Plax
pics of the other side would help hoosier, am just guessing about the possibility it's a cephalopod
