My two sons found these rocks in a creek bed here in Indiana. Does anyone have any idea what they could be? They think they're dinosaur eggs (smiling). Perhaps just rocks inside of rocks? Regardless, we had a fun family outing looking through the creek bed!

The white egg-shaped one is 5" long x 3" at widest point. The other darker one is 2-1/2 x 2".

I hope the pics are clear enough. I only have a phone camera.

Thanks in advance!

second pic could represent a cross section through a straight cephalopod, it would've been a monster, first pic looks like a concretionary rock with soft sediment inside sometimes called an indian paint pot

That is very interesting! The one you say could be a cephalopod has two smaller ones on the opposite side.
