Basically, moisture is bad for pyrite, and a decent method is to keep it in an airtight container, preferably with some dessicant. There may be something you can coat it with, but again, search the forum - I think someone did some experimenting with different methods a few years ago. I wasn't even close on the ID ...... I did read that post about the Pyrite disease / treatments, I just wasn't sure if it should be coated if no disease was present, it seems WD-40 was the best solution & as you mention; the airtight container as well Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
