taj
Hey this is fun, so for once I'm going to participate. Not very hard though , so I have to make it somewhat interesting :no fossil type described beforehand. So let's go ! general context: Let's start with a medium-level one sorry with that, but pic editor seems to add a 90° rotation to the left to my pics .. Don't know why? Mudduck
I have searched and I see 3 areas that I would investigate. Not sure what I am looking for but those 3 areas, 1- just under the vine or stick, 2-there is a brown something that looks like sitting on a shelf of shale (maybe just a leaf), 3-under the rock. Carl
Are the pictures supposed to open up bigger than ~5" on my screen? I can't see much.

taj
3-under the rock. Yep ! Definitively worth looking closer... A nice Melchiorite

Mudduck
This one is a bit more tricky... photo-3.JPG I can't zoom in, very blurry. To the right of pic, I see what could be a bone but could be a broken branch and also to the right of the yellowish rock, appears to be a bone that resembles a plank. BobWill
Is that a dark ammonite under the straw in the center?
taj
Exactly! things were a little bit more easy on the return trip since frost had thawed, thereby exposing the natural glow and shine of these pyrite ammonites . (ok, this one is really fuzzy ) Eogaudryceras( eoetragonites) Edited December 6, 2013 by taj
