The land and housing market there has crashed with the scaling-back of activities at Kennedy Space Center, so preservation organizations have more leverage to acquire property. Pretty grim tomes for the locals, though... Scylla Posted December 29, 2013 Author Share Posted December 29, 2013 Hopefully a balance between conservation and tourism can be struck. I would take a day off Disney World with the kids to visit an ancient human settlement if there were excavations to see, or a good museum.
