I find that most people don't really listen to 50% of what you say, they only register the 'key' words and interpret based on that, and they assume the worst of you before you convince them otherwise (if they will even give you the chance!) If that fails, i'll go to the property owner on the other side of the river, and hopefully get a yes from him, and that'll grant access. EDIT: Sorry, lets get back on topic.
