Less than 30 miles from the Ice margin 26,700 years ago in Tyson Spring Cave, Minnesota.

They found the skull of a stag-moose (Cervalces scotti), and the skull, shoulder blade, and leg bone of a scimitar toothed cat (Homotherium serum). (I thought it was Dinobastis serum, but they keep changing the scientific name.

Mark, thank you so much for posting this!

Lots of good info on our karst topography and this cave is only about 15 miles from my location!

This paper is very, very scientific. If you want 26 minutes of a must-see video on this area and close to this cave, go here: http://www.bluffcountryfossils.com/blog/mysteries-of-the-driftless-video/
