Planko
Nice little drive to hit my favorite spot for gastropods. Had to make it quick because we had plans to be somewhere. Here is a pic of today's finds: Most are clam castings, scallops and small clams. I did find one nice gastropod and one that is ok. Below is a pic of the nice one. About 7" from point to edge of shell: Was being picky and found some nice heart shaped clam castings. About 4" average for them. I am not sure about the below picture. Looks like an ammonite print but I have not seen another or an ammonite at the site. Hopefully the detail is ok. If not I will clean it up. I will have fun cleaning this one. Girlfriend spotted it. Has small oyster shells on one side and looks like a large clam underneath. Can't wait to clean it. Thanks for letting me share, George Edited January 20, 2014 by Planko
