An interesting free paper: Osteoderm distribution has low impact on the centre
of mass of stegosaurs

It seems that size and distribution of osteoderms didn't have any effects on the centre of mass in stegosaurs.

To me (and some other authors) the standard position of the centre of mass was rather fixed from an obvious need to rear up and pivot on hind legs in order to reach higher branches for browsing.
