newdog65
Here is a prep project I completed last night on a kendallina trilobite - took about two hours for this one. Almost perfect except tiny bit of missing shell on cephalon, and tiny bit of missing tip to right genial spine. Practice… practice…practice Chris N

FossilDAWG
Amazing work. How did you know the trilobite was there, I can't see anything showing in picture 3 (I assume that was the start one). Are these trilobites on cone-in-cone wafers like the Tanglefoot Creek ones? Don

Are these trilobites on cone-in-cone wafers like the Tanglefoot Creek ones? Don I should have taken one more picture in the sequence - basically i had a part and counterpart, that showed the faint image of the trilo shape. then glued it together, marking the outside surfaces to where the trilo lies. Then gradually start taking away matrix. Here is an example of another one I am doing for a friend that shows both sides before gluing together - this one stands out really well, but sometimes they are very faint and you don't know what side the shell might lie on.
