sixgill pete
Hooked mako's; Isurus planus are only known from the west coast. I think your tooth is most likely a shortfin mako, I. oxyrinchus. 1 Bulldozers and dirt Bulldozers and dirt behind the trailer, my desert Them red clay piles are heaven on earth I get my rocks off, bulldozers and dirt Patterson Hood; Drive-By Truckers May 2016 May 2012 Aug 2013, May 2016, Apr 2020 Oct 2022
Mike and the Megs!
Ahh, sounds good. Been to this spot a bunch of times and haven't found one quite like this before. Appreciate it!
Sélacien34
I agree I. planus is only known from Pacific ocean and anyway the shape of the root wouldn't match with it. this tooth has a very wide crown for a I. oxyrinchus... But it should be that. Edited May 1, 2014 by Sélacien34
