Wrangellian Posted May 20, 2014 Share Posted May 20, 2014 It's Upper Cretaceous. I think it's just a cross-sectioned concretion that has been subsequently weathered... or something along those lines. Things like this on Hornby often have fossils inside them, if you split them open, but in this case I wouldn't bother unless I could see the cross-section of something (shell) evident as is.
