Ghosts Of Frogs In Dark Amber

This 8 cm specimen, a solid dark amber of the middle Miocene, was fractured in correspondence with a cleavage plane produced by tectonic stresses.
Looking carefully I ( and perhaps only I) well recognize the contour of the left section of the body of a frog with the hind leg folded and the head of another frog, where stands a little bit of skin perfectly preserved.
Anyway are always 83 grams of good material to make beads and cabochons!

Maybe or Maybe not. Sometimes fossil images can be in the eye of the beholder. Thanks for sharing. SS
