tmaier
Possibly Thelodonti scales... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thelodonti I'm not a fish expert, so wait for more answers...
fossilized6s
I was going to suggest a cast of a clam shell with growth lines, but it does resemble fish scales too.... I think being such a small piece it may prove to be difficult to get a certain ID. But hopefully someone will know exactly what it is. ~Charlie~ "There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why.....i dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" ~RFK ->Get your Mosasaur print ->How to spot a fake Trilobite ->How to identify a CONCRETION from a DINOSAUR EGG
Gen. et sp. indet.
Yeah; Thelodonti scales, ornament of some kind of a shell, and cracks - were the three things I originally though about. I agree it's just a small piece, but I hope somebody found something comparable. Thank you for you answers!
