In this case we are dealing with fossilization in under approximately 10,000 years. The Miocene whale/porpoise bone from the area I collected is gray in color. The antler is black much like the antler material I collected in Florida. I guess the antler washed down from a different formation. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
