Sea Robin
I found this fossil on Jacksonville beach. It has some interesting ridges on the side, but can't find any comparisons yet. Any help is appreciated!
Auspex
It looks like bone (I think I see a foramen), but it is pretty enigmatic in form. RichW9090
If I were forced at gunpoint to make a guess, I'd guess a fragment of a pelvis of a large mammal. But I think the ridges you see are not actual surface features of the bone, but rather are caused by the erosion of the bone surface. The plural of "anecdote" is not "evidence".
