Scylla Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Love that fish! The shed impressive as well. However, now that I can scan Google earth for a copper fish, I think you will need a bigger padlock on the shed
Paul1719 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Tim, great fish, he just needs to put some scales on it.
Fossildude19 Posted February 26, 2015 Author Posted February 26, 2015 Tim, great fish, he just needs to put some scales on it. Paul, He tried to scribe some in - here is a close up of the fish - Not extremely accurate, but for an older guy he did a pretty darn good job. Andy, I do, but it has not been helping with the deep cold we have been experiencing the last few weeks. Prep has taken a vacation, unfortunately. Bev Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Great Shed! Awesome Fish! I've been looking to do something with my fossil area of the barn and a weather vane sounds like a great idea! Congrats on the Gift! The more I learn, I realize the less I know. fossilcrazy Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I like a lot !!!!! A Copper Dipterus, I presume.?!
Fossildude19 Posted August 20, 2015 Author Posted August 20, 2015 I like a lot !!!!! A Copper Dipterus, I presume.?! Thanks John! Me too! Actually, it is supposed to be a Semionotus. It was carved out of wood, and then covered in copper sheeting. He got the outline correct. Details are a bit off, but I don't want to look a gift fish in the mouth. I am proud of it- though I didn't make it. My Father-In-Law is pretty talented.
