gtheo Posted December 28, 2014 Share Posted December 28, 2014 I was organizing my garage and going through finds and came across this. Found on beach in San Francisco. Merced formation (plio-pleistocene) which includes both marine and terrestrial sediments. It looks like a tan long roundish thing incased in rock. There are two distinct outer layers of the tan thing. A brown layer and then a whitish layer with patterns of white lines that radiate out. What on earth is this thing?
