My New Ammonites!

Just got these from a trade and they are Beautiful! One has crystals inside. I'm thinking calcite but if it's something else let me know.

PW, what do you use to take pictures? Pretty much every photo you post is really blurry. Does your camera have a Macro (used for real close up shots) setting?

yes , they are scaphites... Scaphites are a type of ammonite, so they are indeed ammonites, no need to use the term 'so-called ammonites'. these look like Wyoming or South Dakota specimens from the Cretaceous Pierre Shale.
