FossilForKids
I have posted quite a few STH teeth since I came aboard a month ago but going over my collection today I "rediscovered" some teeth with very beautiful and strange color patterns. I'm not sure what order they will load as but a description will be easy to match the tooth: - Hastalus that has shades of blue and white that looks like it was dug from an iceberg instead out of the ground - The Flame tooth. We are all becoming familiar with the "fire zone" teeth of STH but the is the first one I've seen that has FLAMES on the bottom 1/3 of the blade! - This Planus looks like it is transparent and you can see a HEART in the middle of it surround by Blue veins. - I have 3 names for this tooth. Planus with a White Bourlette, Dreamsickle, Ran out of orange. - Cammo Hastalis These are just my impressions. Use your imagination and come up with your own names. FossilForKids
WOW, just beautiful. I have never heard of the fire zone. What does that mean?- Hi Roz, My best friend Ron Barnes, named a small area of digging in Bakersfield the "Firezone Area becaus of the bold red, yellow, and orange colors reminded us of flames. Also many of the teeth from there were very fragile. John If only my teeth are so prized a million years from now!
