I Just Finished My First Crab Prep.

Here it is.

Here's another one I did.

And I started this one. I have to remove the whole front half of the nodule, because his claws are pointed down. It's a lot of work. Hopefully they're intact.

After a bit of prep. Still a long ways to go....

That's exactly the same tool that I started with :-)

I ended up having to buy three as my first one shorted out after over heating.

I ended up with three and switching them out when they started to over heat.... While the others cooled on the "ice-pack" I had available - a bag of frozen peas :-)

Yeah, that thing gets really hot. It forces you to stop after about two hours, or risk being burnt. It works for now, it's a temporary fix. Edited by fossilized6s

Here's a small update on the most recent crab victim.

As I dig deeper and uncover more of his front arms they're looking more and more shattered. I hope the tips are there, even if they are in pieces. The bulk removal of the matrix is not fun, to say the least.
