Ammonite Restoration

Recommended Posts

Usually I don't do this, but recently I found ammonite and decide to try to restore the missing part.

Probably there is a better way for doing this so any advice will be good :)

Looking good.

I too have been experimenting with some restoration.

I have been using Elmers Wood filler.

Water cleanup and can be thinned as needed with water.

Once dried can be sculpted to your desired shape.

Dries almost limestone white, once dried it can be stained to any desired color.

Masterfully done.
