JoyH
I have a number of fossils with thick deposits of what appears to be yellow ochre. Is there an easier way to remove it than patience and a dental pick? Water seems to make it more difficult to remove.

Raggedy Man
What type of matrix are the fossils in? I've used iron out to remove similar staining. ...I'm back.
JoyH
Most of the fossils with the yellow ochre are baculite death assemblages from Cody Shale.
