CamelbackMike
I found this last week at a shale bed in Pike County PA. We usually find brachiopods, trillobite parts. Not plants. The impression on the right of the 1st picture certainly looks plant-like - it appears to be in a shell-like background. The middle impression in that pix - is it a plant stem or ? If the second image comes trhough - it is just a computer magnification of part of the camera picture.
Auspex
I lightened it up a bit: It does look planty; very high relief for that, though. Also weird that it is on such a smooth spot of the rough matrix. Hard for me to get a read on... Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum, Mike. I believe that you have a piece of plant matter in the middle. ( Not an uncommon find in Devonian aged areas, but not identifiable.) The odd feathery looking item is a bryozoan: Reptaria stolonifera. (3rd set scrolling down in link) I think it may be attached to a piece of orthocone nautiloid. I can just make out the lines of the septum. (septa?) Very neat find - thanks for posting it. Auspex
Good job, Tim! All my curiosities about this piece explained. I wondered about bryozoan, but lack the first-hand experience. CamelbackMike
Thank you Tim. I was just so amazed at the fine level of detail on both halves when I cracked open the piece of shale. Mike

Mike Mike, You're welcome. Yes, some of the finer grained matrices can hold great amounts of detail. Such a cool piece. I hope to one day find a Reptaria as cool as yours. Well, Chas, I just happen to have a pretty good memory, and it actually kicks in sometimes, with fossils and other esoteric info. My family calls me The Keeper of Useless Information.
