Troodon
Yes dinosaurs are "everwhere" even in Thailand. Southeast Asia is not noted for its dinosaurs however the North & Eastern region of Thailand is rich in fossils. The attached map shows the Red provinces where Dinosaur fossils have been found. The Green and Blue area are provinces where the few fossils that I have come from. Not a lot to show but thought it would be interesting to share since most folks have never seen any from this country. Dinosaur remains have been found in all the Mesozoic periods from the late Triassic to the early Cretaceous, with deposits in seven formations. Most of the Dinosaurs from Thailand are not household names and include a big Sauropod called Phuwiangosaurus, two Theropods Siamotyrannus and Siamosaurus and a small Ceratopsian Psittacosaurus. Little is known about them but they add to our understanding of this region and my collection includes examples of the first three. Availability of material from this area is very difficult and I was fortunate to connect on eBay many years ago and obtained this sauropod and theropod material. Not sexy or colorful just very cool dinosaur material from Thailand. The preservation is not the best, the matrix is as hard as concrete and very difficult to remove so after all these years I still have some work in front of me.. Siamotyrannus isanensis First thought to be an early Tyrannosaurid when described in 1996 but it lacked some key traits of one and was reassigned in 2012 as a Metriacanthosaurid, an Allosauroid type theropod dinosaur up to 30 (6m) in size. Siamotyrannus was about half the size of T-rex and was the top predator of this region. A couple of Teeth on Matrix A very large super rare Foot Claw Edited October 27, 2015 by Troodon 6

Troodon
Siamosaurus suteethorni Siamosaurus described in 1986 was an early Spinosaurid but a much smaller and older than Spinosaurus. Very little is known about this dinosaur and its yet to be determined if it had a sail. The teeth resemble those of Spinosaurus but are much smaller and thinner than its big cousin. It was also aquatic and lived in the bogs of Thailands cretaceous coast. A few teeth Phuwiangosaurus sirindhornae This titansaur was described in 1994 and was a mid sized sauropod measuring 15-20 m in length and was the largest dinosaur in Thailand. -Andy-
Goodness! Been to Thailand twice and never suspected there was good dino material to be found there. Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday! They pretty much looked like your teeth. I guess that was probably a mistake! Up until now, I had never seen another one. Oh well, what can you do. Troodon
I think the tooth preservation of this region is what you see. I've never see any in better shape. Having said that my guess is that they all came from the same source and we may not have see any from other sites?
AJ Plai
My goodness, I am from Thailand and I can't find these specimens nowadays at all. You have some very rare quality specimens hard to acquire even for the most avid local collectors! Many years ago these materials were available in the market but illegally. The guy who was the biggest seller of the materials ended up doing times in jail when the crack down began several years ago. Ever since then, the materials just disappeared from the market. I have been trying to get a hold of some of these for the past few years now but either no body seem to have them or are not willing to let them go. Thx for sharing the beautiful collection Edited November 4, 2015 by AJ Plai
Troodon
Thanks AJ, I always wonder if local collectors have a better opportunity to acquire material. Guess not in all cases.

These are from the old collection of the French but now they forgot until 1990s when the Vietnamese worker demolished the old building of French colonial, they throughout them. My teacher he saved it! I also have made some cast of Laos dinosaur footprints, I can give you 1 copy if you like it. I made it myself when going field trip in Laos.
