fossilized6s
I thought "tilly bone" as well, but I'm not 100% happy with that assessment. ~Charlie~ "There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why.....i dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" ~RFK ->Get your Mosasaur print ->How to spot a fake Trilobite ->How to identify a CONCRETION from a DINOSAUR EGG
Twinlukers
I do it think it's a filly bone. The fossiling and shape do not really show that shape. I'm thinking a tooth root because of how rounded it is. But I know I'm clueless. Please more help???

Auspex
I have no doubt that it is a hyperostosic fish bone (Tilly bone). Twinlukers
Thank you all!!! I love the experience that is here. I looked up the tilly bone and its structure And I can see it. I'm excited about the simple finds like this. We are going for more teeth on thanksgiving weekend. Until then Thanks everyone...
reddesilets
There is a thread going on the SC Forum about a bunch of us getting together on Black Friday, Twinlukers. Feel free to join in! Good luck on future finds!
