Just found a fake keichosaur supplier

Recommended Posts

These listings are from taobao, a Chinese site similar to ebay. The title says it's art. One of them is exactly the same as the one Fossil Claw posted earlier. Maybe ebay sellers get their products from this company?

They also have turtles and dragonflies:

There's apparently fake trilobites too (from different sellers):

Hope these help people looking to buy Chinese fossils.

Yep - they look familiar! Haven't seen the birds so far - they are really sweet. Almost worth buying one for fun.

PS: Did you see the partial dinosaur nest for only 2400 ¥ (around 400 US $)

Be not ashamed of mistakes and thus make them crimes (Confucius, 551 BC - 479 BC).

Wow, layered eggs? Are dinosaurs known to lay eggs like that? Wouldn't they fall off?

I'm not seeing anything nothing wrong with these listings. They appear to be selling them as "craft" fossils and not portraying them as real. Am I understanding the Google translation properly?

They may be sold as art on these sites, which is fine and good, but they can still show up being re-sold as genuine.

This is still a good heads-up.

BTW: Let's not link to the sites; post the images instead (I fixed the above posts). :)
