Twinlukers
Hello everyone! I'm having a tough time with this one. We were searching for mollusks and Came across this in a metrics. It had a major crack on the face but I knew before extracting it That it would not stay together. I was ok with that. This would of been a really nice coral fossil. But I got it out with minimal damage. But after the top cracked off I notice what looks to be an ammonite. I have never seen this before so I need some help?? Thank my expert friends

amphipod
I'm not an expert, but I know corals can encrust. I think it's an ammonite shell that was encrusted by coral growth.
