LordTrilobite
I came across this auction on the internet. I have no intention of buying it or anything but I thought it might be interesting to share because I highly doubt this is a Sauropod egg as advertised. It says that it's from the Jurassic of Kamoro, Madagascar and that it's 35 mm. I really don't think this looks like an egg. What do you guys think? Troodon
I agree. Similiar to the titanosaurus eggs in South America however it lacks any eggshell texture.
Fossildude19
Interesting. Searching for Sauropod eggs, ...I found THIS WEBSITE online, that mentions "fossil egg casts". The picture they show appears similar to the one in your post. They are currently sold out, but I thought the resemblance was interesting. Troodon
Titanosaurus egg diameters are between 12-23cm with eggshells at 5mm max. This reported sauropod egg is 35mm so it's questionable based on size alone.
