Part of a horn coral that was partially replaced with quartz.

Silicified horn coral is a better way of saying it. This might be the internal sediment that has silicified with the rest of the coral dissolved away.

Nice specimen! I like the little Beekite rings visible all around, especially in pic one along the margin.
