Starting the finishing phase... mainly removing small bits of matrix, cleaning the edges, using needles and some very careful blasting. Lots of work still to be done.

But check out that row of tubercles on the cephalon. This was one cool bug. I wonder whether it was brightly colored.

If it was brightly colored I hope it would have been "rouge" :P

While the other Leo collected his well-deserved oscar, I worked hard to finished this Leo. Despite the many issues with the shell preservation (you would not believe how much glue was used here), I'm quite happy with the results. It deserves some better pics though, maybe later.
