Steelheadtracker
I found this today in a creek. The county i live in i was told is mississippian by members here. The finger is my pinky nail for size reference. Is it a trilobite?
DinoMike
Looks like the tail end of a trilo to me! Nice find! At least some of the head may be down in the matrix, from the look of it. Edited March 3, 2016 by DinoMike

Rockwood
Looks like the tail end of a trilo to me! Nice find! At least some of the head may be down in the matrix, from the look of it. In a jumble of fossils like this it seem much more likely that it's only the pygidium. It is the part of a shed that is the most likely to survive deposition at this energy level.
gturner333
It probably is just the pygidium, but keep looking. You may find other parts or even a complete one. They are sometines found rolled up in a ball. Nice find.
WATERLINE
Nice find......Yes it is a trilobite. Is the matrix very hard? If not you may be able to uncover more of the fossil using a sharp/hardened needle or awl...Just be careful near whats exposed already. Good luck and keep looking..
Fossildude19
I agree, it is probably just the pygidium. I had a look at this PDF, and it looks like your pygidium may be from Paladin sp. Keep looking. There should be more around there, somewhere.
